Here are our top 4 spots to try for your next cup of gumbo in Gulf Shores & Orange Beach: 

1. First up is Sea-n-Suds. The gumbo recipe used at this Gulf Shores iconic restaurant has been passed down from Grandma Sellers (Nona Sellers) and her family for over 200 years. Try this rich roux and you’ll understand why this gumbo is withstanding the test of time!
2. Our next recommendation is Doc’s. The gumbo at the local “seafood shack,” has the perfect, rich roux filled with tiny shrimp and abundant crab. If you really love it as much as we think you will, you can buy a big ole’ container to go! 
3. Flora-Bama Yacht Club is the third on our list. Adorned with pieces of fried okra, the taste of the gumbo here is rivaled only by the incredible Ole River views. Add the Crab & Parmesan Hush Puppies for the perfect combination. 
4. Last but certainly not least, is Bon Temps Po Boys. The owners are originally from Lafayette, Louisiana. The chicken and sausage gumbo found here is the real deal and will leave you wanting more.
